Frequently asked
How supply, documentation, and ordering work here. Where a question touches something the policy set governs, the answer points at the policy rather than paraphrasing it — that text is the one that binds, and it is versioned so a past order still resolves to what was in force when it was accepted.
What this is
- What does research use only actually mean?
Everything in the catalog is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research, analytical, or reference use. It is not approved by the FDA for human use and must not be administered to any human or animal. That restriction is a condition of purchase, not a disclaimer bolted on at the end — it is in the Terms of Service and in the Research-Use Waiver accepted at checkout.
- Why am I asked to confirm my age and qualification before entering?
Because both are conditions of supply. You confirm you are 21 or older and that you are qualified, by education, training, or professional experience, to handle laboratory research materials safely. The acknowledgment is recorded with a timestamp and the version of the gate you saw.
It is a separate, lighter step from the Research-Use Waiver, which is the binding agreement and is accepted at checkout.
Documentation
- What is in the COA library?
Every product we list, shown with the lot documentation available for it. Each report names the laboratory that performed the work, the analyses run, and the scope those results cover. You can read all of it before ordering — see the COA library.
- Does a certificate cover the exact vial I receive?
A certificate binds to a lot, never to a product in general. It applies to the sample, batch, and analyses stated on the document and to nothing else.
Where the tested sample differs from what is sold — a different fill size, for instance — the product page says so plainly rather than leaving you to notice. We would rather show you a narrower claim that is true than a broader one that is not.
- Who commissioned the testing?
It is stated on each report, because it changes what the result is worth. Some documents are supplied by the manufacturer; others are commissioned independently. Both are shown, and which is which is never left implicit.
Ordering
- Can I place an order right now?
Yes. Add what you need to the cart and continue to checkout, where the Research-Use Waiver is accepted and payment instructions are issued.
- How can I pay?
The methods available to you are shown at checkout, and both the timing of when an order counts as paid and how approved refunds are returned are set out in the Payment & Billing Policy.
One thing worth knowing in advance: payment instructions are issued inside checkout and in the official order email only. Instructions reaching you by any other route are not ours — do not send funds against them.
- When does an order ship?
Processing time is measured from payment confirmation rather than from when the order was placed, which matters because the payment methods here confirm asynchronously. Destinations, signature requirements, and the window for transit claims are in the Shipping Policy.
- Can I return something?
Shipped products are not returnable, for reasons of chain of custody — once material has left our control we cannot attest to how it was stored. Which issues do qualify for a remedy, the claim window, and how cancellations work are in the Returns & Refunds Policy.
Your information
- What do you keep, and can I have it deleted?
What is collected, who it is shared with, and how long it is held are in the Privacy Policy.
One part is worth flagging because it surprises people: compliance records, including waiver acceptances, are retained even after an erasure request. They are the evidence of the terms you agreed to, so deleting them would defeat their purpose. The privacy policy explains the basis and the retention period.
